Join the Preston Lab as a full-time Research Coordinator!

We are excited to announce that the Preston Lab at the University of Texas at Austin is hiring a full-time Research Coordinator to begin in May/June 2026!
The coordinator will play a central role in ongoing, grant-funded research examining how memory develops from childhood into emerging adulthood. Using behavioral methods and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), our work investigates how changes in hippocampal and frontoparietal brain systems support learning, decision-making, and memory-guided inference across development.
This position offers an opportunity togain hands-on experience managing longitudinal and cross-sectional studies,working with participants ages 4–35 years, and contributing to research tha tintegrates developmental cognitive neuroscience with advanced neuroimaging approaches. The coordinator will be responsible for managing studies end-to-end, including recruiting and scheduling participants, conducting behavioral and MRI data collection, organizing and maintaining research data, and training undergraduate research assistants.
The coordinator will work closely with Dr. Alison Preston and senior lab members, with opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and increasing independence over time. Highly motivated candidates may also contribute to conference presentations and co-authored publications.
This role is ideal for individuals seeking research experience prior to graduate training in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, or related fields.
